Searching for a new high stock scanner or a 52-week high screener? In Trade Ideas, this is Streaming Alerts: New High and New Low are alerts that fire on the print that sets the high, and the range filters narrow them to the stocks you want.

Streaming Alerts push each alert the moment it fires, the Highs and Lows filters are checked at that same moment, and Top Lists can sort by them.

Key point

A new high is a print above every other price a stock has traded in the period you choose: today, above yesterday's high, this week, or the past 52 weeks. The Highs and Lows category holds the alerts that fire on those prints (in regular hours, pre-market and post-market), the pullback and check mark alerts that measure the move back from a high or low, and the filters that measure where a stock sits in its range.

How Trade Ideas finds it: New High Alert (NHP): by default the New High alert (NHP) fires on any print above the rest of the day's prices during regular market hours. In the alert's minimum-days box, 1 means above yesterday's high, 7 means a new high for the week, and 365 means only 52-week highs (any value 0 to 366; default 0). For premarket or after-hours highs, use Pre-market Highs (HPRE) and Post-market Highs (HPOST).
