What Makes This Trade Great: CDTG and a Choppy but Rewarding Re-Entry

Today’s edition of “What Makes This Trade Great” looks at CDTG — one of only two alerts our AI gave today. It wasn’t the easiest trade out there, but it’s a good one to break down. To Subscribe to Trade Ideas: https://go.trade-ideas.com/SHQ

The First Move
The alert came in at $2.57, and before any pullback at all, the stock got up to $2.98. Then it pulled back and hit the stop.
The Re-Entry
Here’s that re-entry price doing its thing again. Halfway between the alert and the stop gave an automatic re-entry price of $2.53. So if you missed the first move, this was your second chance to get in.
From that $2.53 re-entry, before it turned red, CDTG ran all the way up to $3.25 — a strong move for anyone who caught that second entry.
Not the Cleanest Trade
I’ll be honest — this wasn’t the smoothest setup. After that run to $3.25, the stock came back down and got pretty choppy. This is one of those trades where you have to manage expectations and not force it to be cleaner than it actually was.
What to Watch
If CDTG holds the VWAP from here, there’s a real possibility it could take out that $3 level again later in the day and even challenge the high around $3.25. Worth keeping an eye on.
The Takeaway
A quiet day on alerts overall, but this one still delivered — especially for anyone who used the re-entry price after getting stopped out. Not every trade is going to be textbook clean, and CDTG is a good reminder that choppy price action doesn’t mean the setup isn’t still working.
Trade Ideas’ AI-driven alerts, including automatic re-entry pricing, are designed to help you catch setups like this even after an initial stop-out. As always, past performance on any single trade doesn’t guarantee future results — manage your risk accordingly.
