Before the market even opened, the news was already setting the stage. Reports were circulating that the Pentagon was preparing to invest heavily into U.S. drone technology and domestic drone manufacturers. Right away, that put several names on high alert — RCAT, ONDS, and UMAC.

Now, when you see an entire sector reacting to a major government catalyst like that, you immediately start thinking about momentum, sympathy plays, and continuation opportunities.

At around 9:40 AM, our AI alerted RCAT. Almost simultaneously, we saw alerts hit for ONDS and UMAC as well. Three drone names all lighting up together with the same catalyst behind them. That’s exactly the kind of confirmation you want to see.

The key lesson here is understanding why the stocks are moving.

Too many traders focus only on the chart and ignore the story. But when you combine technical momentum with a powerful news catalyst, that’s where some of the best trades can develop.

Now interestingly enough, I didn’t actually take RCAT itself.

Instead, I traded RCAX, which is a leveraged product tied specifically to RCAT. Essentially, it was giving traders amplified exposure to the move.

RCAT ended up running roughly 35% on the day, while RCAX exploded nearly 70%.

That’s the power of leverage combined with momentum.

But again, the real edge came from recognizing the catalyst early:

• Pentagon funding discussions
• Increased focus on military drone technology
• Sector-wide sympathy momentum
• Multiple AI alerts confirming strength

This wasn’t random movement. This was institutional-grade news driving an entire theme higher.

And that’s something traders should always pay attention to.

When sectors move together, when news is strong, and when the AI confirms unusual activity early in the session, those are the ingredients that can create exceptional opportunities.

That’s what made this trade great.
