What Makes This Trade Great – MNTS

Good morning traders, Barrie Einarson here from Trade Ideas, and today I want to break down why MNTS was such an incredible trading opportunity and how flexibility during the trading session can make all the difference.
The first AI alert came in around 13.48. Now, if you jumped in immediately, the stock gave a quick push toward 13.90, but then rolled over and hit the stop. That happens. Not every first entry works perfectly, and that’s why risk management always comes first.
But here’s where the trade became interesting.
Instead of giving up on the setup, traders who stayed patient had another opportunity around 13.28. This is something I personally like to watch for — reentries after a shakeout. Once MNTS reclaimed momentum, it absolutely exploded higher, running all the way to roughly 14.83, and eventually extending to 15.47 before finally losing steam.
This is a perfect example of how our AI can be used as more than just an alert system. Think of it as a constantly evolving watchlist. Even after the long setup matured, the price action started showing exhaustion signals. At that point, traders could begin thinking about the other side of the trade.
In fact, once the stock started fading back through the 14.00 area, there was a fantastic potential short opportunity as momentum shifted and sellers stepped in aggressively.
The important takeaway here is adaptability. Great traders don’t marry a bias. They recognize when momentum is building, when it’s fading, and when a stock is offering opportunity in both directions.
MNTS was a textbook example of:
- Managing risk after an initial stop-out
- Staying patient for a better reentry
- Riding momentum while it lasts
- Recognizing exhaustion and being open to the short side
That’s what made this trade great.
