The System Behind Winning Trade Ideas

To start with, let’s talk about the scan involved. I call it ‘The Abnormal Option Activity Plus Ten Day Daily Breakout’. Yes, it’s a handful to say but it is this long-string sophisticated algorithm that sets up compelling trades for you. An interesting thing about this particular scan is that it doesn’t throw up a barrage of alerts but instead presents a select few that ensure quality over quantity.

I can vouch for the success of ALT based on this particular scan, which worked incredibly well. There were other instances like ‘WAS OKAY’ which played out reasonably well for a while and ‘BFB’ as well.

“There’s no scan in the world that every single alert is going to be a winner”.

However, we ensure that our scan designs and algorithms are continuously optimized for finding stocks worth watching.

Tracking the Trend: A Couple Weeks’ Journey

I’ve been keeping an eye on this type of scan for the past couple of weeks, just as a sort of curated watch list. It’s especially useful for those who are fairly new to trading, and understand chart patterns but don’t want to be inundated with alerts constantly.

Trade Highlight: ALT

Now let’s discuss the star of the day – ALT. The alert for ALT popped up when it was at 633 and it basically moved straight up before it pulled back to 749, indicating a substantial move.

A little pause followed this surge, then another smaller one before it started to pull back a little.

“That’s a tremendous move!”.

It mirrors the success of ‘Sentinel’ which also did the same type of thing. Talk about consistency!
