Well, guys, today we are looking at XENE, a short opportunity identified by our AI.

The Trade Ideas AI generated a short alert at $42.60. From there, XENE dropped to approximately $39.79 before bouncing, creating a very nice move for traders who followed the alert.

XENE is a pharmaceutical stock, and the company released clinical-trial news that the market clearly did not like. I cannot remember whether the trial was in Phase 2 or Phase 3, but the results disappointed investors and put considerable selling pressure on the stock.

At the time of recording, XENE was still down approximately 29%.

Now I am watching to see whether it can break below the important $40 level again. I have placed a price alert at $39.83 so I will know if the stock begins testing that area.

If XENE breaks below $40 and the selling continues, it may have room to move toward approximately $38. There are no guarantees, of course, but that gives us another potential setup to monitor.

This trade is also a great reminder that news matters—especially when trading pharmaceutical and biotechnology stocks. Clinical-trial data can cause dramatic price movements because it may change how investors view a company’s future prospects.
