So this name popped up in my trend reversal scan early in the session. Now, I want to talk about something I don’t always emphasize, and that’s the news. I’ll be honest with you — I don’t let news seduce me into taking a trade. That’s a trap a lot of traders fall into. But every now and then, the news and the technicals line up in a way that you just can’t ignore.

This morning, news broke that the administration signed an order to accelerate quantum adoption. And ARQQ? Well, it’s right there in the name — this is a quantum stock. When I saw that headline, and then saw this name lighting up my scan, I paid attention.

The alert triggered around $24.41. Before it even had a chance to pull back, this thing ran all the way up to nearly $30. That’s a massive move, and it wasn’t just ARQQ — the entire quantum sector ripped this morning. ARQQ just happened to rip as hard as any of them.

That’s the lesson here. I’m not telling you to go chasing stocks because of a headline. What I am telling you is that when a macro catalyst hits an entire sector, and your scans are confirming the move technically, that’s when it’s worth sitting up straight and taking notice.

News alone? No. Technicals alone? Maybe. But both together? That’s what makes a trade great.
