What Makes This Trade Great: MXL and the Power of the Re-Entry

I know I talk about this quite a bit, but today gave us another excellent example of why the re-entry price from our AI is so important—and the stock was MXL. To Subscribe to Trade Ideas: https://go.trade-ideas.com/SHQ

This is not a small, thin name. MXL is a larger-cap stock, and it had earnings, which is what brought in the volume and volatility, especially in the pre-market.

The Initial Alert

The AI gave us a long alert at $57.47.

Now, if you took that trade right away, you were rewarded pretty quickly. The stock pushed up to around $60, which is a solid move. But then—as often happens—it pulled back and hit the stop.

That’s where a lot of traders get shaken out and walk away.

The Second Chance: Re-Entry

But here’s the key…

The AI doesn’t just give you one opportunity. It provides a structured re-entry level, and in this case, that level was around $56.60—about halfway between the original entry and the stop.

If you were patient and trusted the process, you had a second chance to get into the trade.

And what happened next?

👉 The stock took off again and delivered a strong continuation move.

Why This Matters

This is such an important lesson for traders:

  • You don’t have to chase the first move
  • Pullbacks are not failures—they’re opportunities
  • The re-entry level is there for a reason

Too many traders either:

  • Get stopped out and quit the trade, or
  • Chase strength and get in at the worst possible time

The AI helps remove that emotion by giving you clear structure and discipline.

The Takeaway

With MXL, you had two solid choices:

  1. Take the initial breakout and lock in profits
  2. Or wait for the re-entry setup and catch the continuation

Both worked—but the re-entry was especially clean and powerfu
