Alright traders, Barrie Einarson here with today’s edition of What Makes This Trade Great.
Let’s talk about FUBO, because this is a really clean example of how to handle an earnings play—even if you miss the initial move. To Subscribe: https://go.trade-ideas.com/SHQ

The Setup
This was an earnings-driven trade, and right away in the pre-market, you could see the interest building. The stock pushed from around $9.80 up to $10.29, showing clear momentum before the bell even rang.
Now, when the market opened, FUBO gave you that initial pop. But let’s be honest—not everyone is comfortable jumping in right at the open. That’s where discipline and patience come into play.
The Second Chance Entry
Here’s what made this trade great:
After that first move, FUBO pulled back cleanly into VWAP—that purple line we always talk about.
And this is key…
👉 It held VWAP.
That’s your signal.
Once it bounced and reclaimed strength, that gave you a high-probability secondary entry. You didn’t need to chase the open—you just needed to wait for confirmation.
The Real Move
From that VWAP hold and break around 11:39, the stock just kept going.
By 12:57, it was still trending higher.
In a market that’s been choppy and indecisive, that kind of clean, sustained trend really stands out.
Why This Trade Worked
- ✅ Earnings catalyst = volume + interest
- ✅ Strong pre-market structure
- ✅ Clean pullback to VWAP
- ✅ Confirmed hold = reduced risk entry
- ✅ Sustained trend in a weak overall market
The Takeaway
You don’t need to catch the first move.
In fact, some of the best trades come after the pullback, when a stock proves it can hold key levels like VWAP.
FUBO gave traders a textbook second-chance opportunity, and those are the ones you want to train yourself to recognize.
Because in markets like this—where everything feels messy—
👉 clean trends are gold.
