What Made This Trade Great: When Shorts Were the Only Game in Town

The market tried to stage a bit of a comeback, but the real story came from the short side—and once again, our AI alerts made that crystal clear.

Early on, the AI surfaced three strong short opportunities, and for much of the day, those were the trades doing the heavy lifting. While a few long setups teased potential (including a re-entry around 4.19 that later pushed toward 4.40), they were the exception—not the rule.

The Standout Short: LC

One short in particular stood out: LC.

  • Short entry: 17.72
  • After the alert, the stock popped slightly—but not enough to invalidate the setup.
  • From there, it rolled over and followed a clean, steady move lower.

This is a textbook example of why patience matters on shorts. Minor pops after entry don’t automatically mean the trade is broken. In this case, price respected the larger downward wave, giving traders multiple chances to manage risk and scale out into strength on the way down.

At this point, LC still appears to have room—potentially down toward the 16 area. That’s not a prediction, just an observation of available downside if the trend continues.

The Bigger Takeaway

Today was a reminder of something experienced traders already know:

You don’t get to choose the market’s personality—only how you respond to it.

And today, the market rewarded traders who were willing to lean short and trust what the data was showing them.

Sometimes, the best trades aren’t about forcing action—but about recognizing where the real edge is showing up.
