What Makes This Trade Great: SKYX and a Look Back at NAM

In today’s edition of What Makes This Trade Great, I want to walk you through a trade I’m currently in — SKYX — and also take a quick look back at a standout AI alert from yesterday in NAM. To Subscribe to Trade Ideas:

Let’s start with SKYX.

This trade actually came from one of our Trade Ideas AI alerts at $2.88. Now, even when the AI flags something early, I personally like to wait for confirmation — especially when a stock is sitting near a whole number. Whole numbers matter. They’re psychological levels, and I’ve found that trades often work better once price proves it can get through them.

So rather than jumping in immediately, I waited for the break of $3. Once that level cleared, I took the trade.

At the moment, I’ll be honest — this one has felt a bit like watching paint dry. But as I was recording the video, the stock finally started to show some life. That’s trading for you. Patience is often part of the process.

If SKYX can push into the high teens or low twenties, I’d consider that a solid win. There is a monthly high around $3.30, so that’s an area where the stock could stall. And lately, we haven’t seen a ton of continuation in some of these smaller names, so I’m keeping expectations realistic and managing the trade accordingly.

That said, continuation does happen — and yesterday gave us a great reminder of that.

Take a look at NAM from yesterday.

That was also an AI alert, and it absolutely ripped. Even though it’s pulled back a bit since then, NAM was a textbook example of how powerful these AI-driven continuation plays can be when conditions line up.

The key takeaway here is simple:

  • Let the AI point you in the right direction
  • Use price structure and levels to fine-tune your entries
  • Respect whole numbers
  • And stay patient — not every trade explodes immediately

Some move fast, some take their time, and some surprise you when you least expect it.

That’s what makes trading interesting — and that’s what makes these trades great.
