Today’s spotlight is on Hertz ($HTZ) — remember Hertz? The company that went through bankruptcy, got delisted, hit the pink sheets, and then fought its way back to the NASDAQ? Well, they’ve just done something they haven’t managed in two years — posted a profit!

That headline alone lit a fire under the stock. We got the Trade Ideas alert at $5.99, and from there, the move was impressive — topping out around $7.12 before settling in the high $6s. That’s serious momentum.

What makes this even more interesting is that the broader market was weak today. The SPY and QQQ were both down, yet Hertz kept climbing. That tells me this trade had a strong independent catalyst — earnings and a powerful narrative: the comeback story.

I’ll be watching to see if $HTZ can push back above $7 and hold that level later in the session. A clean break could signal continuation as more traders notice the turnaround.
