This one was a really relaxing setup. The stock in focus is HBM – Hudson Bay Minerals out of Canada. I first spotted it on the biggest gainers list under large-cap movers. It didn’t win the race in terms of the highest percentage gainer, but what caught my attention was the technical setup—it was pushing into an all-time high.

I noticed it just over the $15 level, around 15.06. That’s where I decided to step in. My stop was tight, just under $15, about a 6-cent risk. And before it even had a chance to pull back, look at what happened—it shot all the way up to 15.47.

That’s a move of about 40 cents on a tiny risk. This is the type of risk/reward setup that excites me. Sure, there were other names today that were “rocket ships,” putting up huge percentage gains, but for newer traders especially, this type of play is ideal. It’s manageable, it’s clean, and it teaches you discipline around stops and entries.

These are the trades I love highlighting—clear setups, strong technical levels, and a risk/reward profile that just makes sense.
