The Setup

The weekly chart was the story: thin overhead supply and a clear air pocket above. I wasn’t calling $17—just acknowledging the room. When the higher timeframe is this clean, intraday breaks can travel fast.

The Alert

AIHS was super active in premarket with a small headline floating around. I didn’t need to memorize the news; I cared about attention and RVOL. I took a first shot early, kept the loss tiny when it didn’t hold, and stayed ready for the real signal.

The Confirmation

Right around 9:45, we got the character shift: VWAP reclaim + Opening Range High push, tape light on the offer, bids stepping up. It lifted before any meaningful pullback—classic trapped-shorts + momentum ignition. I didn’t top-tick it, but I took the meat of the move. That’s the job.

How I’d Trade It (Playbook)

  • Trigger: 9:40–9:50 confirmation—VWAP reclaim + ORH with accelerating prints on time & sales.
  • First Scale: Into premarket high; pay yourself, keep risk tight, stay nimble.
  • Ride the Wave: As long as we hold VWAP/5-min structure and pullbacks are shallow, recycle shares—trim strength, rebuy orderly dips.
  • Risk: Fixed $-risk. Stop just below VWAP/ORL or last higher low. If structure breaks or sellers refresh every uptick, reduce.
  • Adds: Only on clean retests (VWAP/ORH) that hold with confirming tape.

Key Levels to Remember

  • Premarket High/Low — first target / failure gauge
  • Opening Range High/Low — go/no-go pivots
  • VWAP — trend health and trailing reference
  • Whole & Half Dollars — liquidity pockets for scales
  • Distant Weekly Shelf ~$17 — context only, not a call

Why this trade was great: higher-timeframe asymmetry (room), early RVOL from a minor catalyst, a disciplined second entry at 9:45, and mechanical exits. Repeatable and scala
