Hey everyone, Barrie Einarson here with today’s What Makes This Trade Great.
I want to talk about SQFT (Square Foot)—a really interesting low-float mover from this morning. To Subscribe: https://go.trade-ideas.com/SHQ

Pre-Market Madness
Pre-market action was wild. SQFT ripped all the way to nearly $20 early on. But by the time the market opened, it had sold off hard down to around $6.30–$6.40.
A lot of traders would look at that and think:
“Well, that’s the end of that.”
But as you know, with these low-float names, the game is rarely over after that first move.
No Obvious News
We couldn’t find any specific news catalyst in the trading room. Nothing concrete showed up on the usual wires. That’s not uncommon for these sub-10 million float names. Sometimes it’s purely speculative action—just traders piling in.
That’s what makes them tricky but also very tradable.
The Action: Multiple Opportunities
What I really liked was how many chances it gave you throughout the day.
✅ Big pre-market pop and flush
✅ Intraday bounce with another strong move
✅ Small buy flags and pullback entries
Not the easiest stock in the world, but if you waited for those structured pullbacks and flags, there was real opportunity.
Personally, I was able to catch one of those early moves for a nice trade.
The Lesson
Key takeaway:
Just because it failed at the open doesn’t mean the move is done.
These low-float runners often come back later in the day. I had a feeling it might try to retest those early highs later on.
So don’t just dismiss them after the first washout. Keep them on your radar, look for continuation setups, and trade the price action.
Final Thoughts
SQFT was a classic low-float momentum play: fast, tricky, but packed with opportunity.
If you trade these, always:
✅ Manage risk
✅ Wait for confirmation
✅ Don’t chase blindly
That’s how you stay in the game for the long run.
