Understanding the Halt Alert

Thousands of stocks are quoted and traded every day in U.S. securities markets. Trading in most stocks takes place without interruption throughout the trading day, however some stocks are subject to short-term trading halts and longer-term trading suspensions.

The Halt alert will trigger when a stock is suspended for trading. The description column will offer more detail related to the Halt.

By default, the halt alert will report when a stock is suspended for trading.

The description column of this alert will report why the stock was halted.
