Select Alerts Tab

In this lesson, Ill go over the Select Alerts tab. The "Select Alerts" tab allows you to select alert types that should be displayed by the current Alert Window. You also set the criteria for each alert using our parameters. This tab is very important because this is the basis for creating your strategy. With each alert window, must select at least one alert. If you do not select an alert, it will automatically select the “heart beat”. The heart beat alert just samples the filters that you set. As you can see, each alert has a space where you enter in your criteria. This section is called the quality. The quality can be based on dollars, volume, days, shares, and so on. Some types of alerts do not have any quality filters because they are designed to be used in a ticker, however you can still select them for your strategy. At the bottom of the window you can see that you can hide unused alerts, add defaults alerts, and you can click on more to take you the search tab where you can view all alerts and filters. For this strategy, I am going to put in a “5” for the dollar amount. Also, I will put in “10,000” for volume. Please note that if you leave these blank, it will show the most alerts in an alert window. By entering a number, it will limit the alerts you see in the alert window. You can also pair your alerts with filters, which narrows out your search even more. For more information on the Windows Specific Filters tab, please review the following video.
