Top List Window

Let’s take a look at the Top List Window. You will notice that there will be a “T” displayed on the top of each top list window. Instead of a stream of event based alerts as displayed in an Alert Window, the Top List Window gives you data on a filtered list of symbols. Top Lists are filtered and sorted in three different ways, first on the server, then by column, and finally with a visual color gradient if you choose so. One way to sort the columns is to just double click on the filter itself. The filter being sorted will then depress. By doing this, the symbols in the window will be resorted based on that filter. (show example) Currently, the list is first being sorted by stocks with the most change from the close. I’m going to duplicate this window and configure it a different way. In the Top List window, I can either configure this by clicking on the filter or by right clicking on the window. Here you can see a window very similar to the Alert Config window but there is not an alerts tab. Please note that when you go inside of the Top List Config Window, you will notice that there will not be a Select Alerts tab. Instead, you will be asked how to Sort your window first on the server. You can still select what columns you want displayed, but you can also sort how you would like to view them. Looking at the Sort Tab, you can see that you can “hide unused” filters, use “add default” filters, or you can choose “More” for more options. (show example). You can also sort from biggest on top or from smallest on top. (show example) Currently, the list is first being sorted by stocks with the most change from the close. I’m going to change the sorting to the smallest on top, making the window first display the stocks that are down the most since the close". As you can see, the symbols resorted based on the change from close filter
