We have added a lot of great new features to the OddsMaker backtesting tool in Trade Ideas. The Configuration menu now has sliders to help set the trade initiation times, the exit times, and the number of days to backtest the strategy. The OddsMaker results window now has quite a few new features. At the top left of the results window, the strategy alerts and filters are displayed with tooltip details. An equity curve graph displays the results of the trades. The results summary details the number of trades, winning / losing percentage, buying power required and more. You can set variables such as your starting equity, share sizes trades, commission, and slippage and see how the changes will affect the results of your strategy on the fly. The calendar has tool tip summaries of the trading results for each day The Summary tab also includes a graph of the drawdown and buying power. Moving to the calendar tab allows you to view the trading results for each day of the backtest. And double-clicking on a trading day opens a detail trading ledger view showing each trade. The Optimization tab is where you can drill down into the factors affecting your trades including the price intervals, time of day, and symbols traded. The Other Filters area allows analysis using any of the filters used in the strategy. The Settings tab displays the configuration settings used to backtest the strategy such as the initiation times, exit times, stops, and days backtested. We have also included a collaboration button in the Settings tab to let you share this strategy with your colleagues or social networks.
