The Trade-Ideas Multi-Strategy-Window ***New Feature in BETA

Let's take a look at a new piece of functionality recently released by Trade-Ides. This new tool is called the multi-strategy window and it allows you to combine multiple strategies that currently exist in multiple windows into a single window container. Let me show you how we do it. From the toolbar, select tools, mulit-strategy window. This window will populate with four different columns which you can size and rearrange. The window name field is the name of your window for the strategy you are incorporating in. Right click, select configure. This will bring up the configure multiple strategies window. The first thing we are going to do is we are going to select, "new." Now we are going to define what strategy this is. We're going to bring in the five minute 1, 2, 3 continuation buy. You do this by selecting, "configure." Go to your recent settings and find your five minute 1, 2, 3 continuation buy. Load those settings and hit, "ok." Now define a color scheme. This is a bullish move so we're going to set a dark-green background and a white foreground. Now let's bring in the other window and that's going to be the five minute 1, 2, 3 continuation sell. I'm going to select configure, recent settings, find the strategy, select load, and hit, "ok." Again, let's set the background color to a dark red and let's set the foreground color to white. Let's close the window and let's see if we can get a sense of what's going on. Now any time an alert appears in either one of these windows it will be added to the multi-strategy window. And we can see very clearly here by looking at the screen that there are far more five minute 1, 2, 3 continuation buys than 1, 2, 3 continuation sells at the moment. There's no limitation to the number of strategies that you can incorporate into this window. In this example, we're using two different strategies but if you would like to use ten or twenty different strategies, just define a unique color scheme, make sure that you've named the windows properly, and this should be a much greater benefit with respect to the screen real estate needs in using Trade-Ideas Pro. That will do it for this particular video segment. Thank you very much.

Linking Trade-Ideas Pro to www.freestockcharts.com

Let's go ahead and take a look at the linking capabilities between Trade-Ideas Pro and freestockcharts.com. On the left-hand side we have Trade-Ideas Pro and on the right-hand side of the screen we are looking at freestockcharts.com. It's a free stock charting application that operates inside of a web browser. To get the linking to work properly, I'm using a Windows Vista machine. I'm linking Trade-Ideas Pro with freestockcharts.com inside of Internet Explorer. The first thing that we're going to do, let's go ahead and open up an external linking window. We're going to go ahead remove the current linking that's in place now. And what you do is you drag the cross hairs to the symbol on freestockcharts.com. Then go ahead and close the external linking window. Now I have my Trade-Ideas set up so that when I click on a symbol, not double click, but when I single click on a symbol, it will update the chart. And it appears as though the linking is working well within this particular application here.
