The save layout and restore layout buttons allow you to save and restore the positions of all the windows at once. We've made a few changes in the last few lessons. Let me undo those and go back to the way I like it. You can hit save and restore at any time. When you exit the application, it asks if you want to save. You don't have to. In this case, I just did. If you make changes to your layout that you don't like, you don't have to save them. When you first start, it automatically restores your layout. You can only save one layout. However, you can save individual alert windows as much or as little as you want. Just hit load alert window to bring up another copy of a window that you had saved before. Notice the one special setting called default window. You remember from a previous lesson we had "save as default." You notice that this is just a normal file editor window. Advanced users can go into these files, delete the old ones that they don't want; mail the ones that they like to their friends. They are just files. Most users just use the layout feature because it is simple. However, advanced users are free to save and restore windows as needed.
