BidA bid price is the highest price a buyer is willing to pay for a stock. The act of advertising that you are willing to pay a specific price for a stock, rather than accepting someone else's price. Strictly speaking there can be multiple bid prices for a single stock. We use the term "bid" more loosely, as a shorthand for the "best bid".
