Best BidThe best bid is the highest price that someone is willing to pay for a stock at this time. If you want to sell a small amount of stock quickly, this is probably the price you will receive. Many of our algorithms use the best bid and the best ask as estimates of the current because they are not as noisy as the last print price, and they give a range for reasonable print prices. These are most helpful in the smallest time-frames.
